Terms and safety

Clear rules for getting on well together – and what is in your own hands when you’re out there.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the website jntos.com, to requests by email and – from launch – to the use of the Jntos service. The provider is 4point1 GmbH (see legal notice), “we” below.

Jntos is in development and not yet generally available. We may supplement these terms before launch. Anyone who then creates an account expressly agrees to the version valid at that time.

This is a translation for convenience. The German version prevails.

2. What Jntos is – and isn’t

Jntos brings members together for shared training sessions in small groups and helps arrange them: suggestion, invitation, yes or no.

We do not organise training, lead groups, accompany sessions or check routes, meeting points or the suitability of participants. Jntos is not a coach, not coaching and not medical or health advice. Shared sessions are private arrangements between members.

3. Membership

  • Jntos is for people aged 18 and over.
  • An account is personal and not transferable. Your details must be accurate; keep your login details secret.
  • Only upload activities or connect accounts that are your own.
  • You can delete your account at any time.

4. Costs

The basic features are free. We do not currently offer paid features. If we introduce them, costs arise only after a separate, explicit order, which comes with its own terms and the statutory information including the right of withdrawal.

5. Rules for getting on together

  • Respect for all members, regardless of pace, experience, origin, gender or age.
  • No harassment, discrimination, threats or unwanted contact – including outside Jntos.
  • No advertising, no commercial offers and no recruiting for third parties.
  • What you learn about other members (such as names or meeting points) stays with you.
  • If you can’t make it, cancel in good time. Reliability is what makes Jntos work.

You can report violations to [email protected] at any time.

6. Safety out there

You are responsible for yourself. These tips help a shared session go well for everyone.

  • Judge for yourself. You decide whether a session suits your current level. Nobody has to keep up; you can slow down or stop at any time.
  • Meet in public. The first time, meet at an easy-to-reach public place and tell someone you trust who you’re going with and where.
  • Follow the rules. Traffic rules apply on the road, in a group too. Local rules apply in nature reserves and protected areas.
  • Kit and weather. Check the route, weather, light and your kit yourself – a helmet and lights when cycling, food and navigation when hiking.
  • For emergencies. Take a phone. In an emergency in the EU, dial 112.

7. Your data and content

Your activities remain yours. You grant us only the rights we need to run Jntos for you, i.e. to store and analyse your data and to form groups. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.

8. Availability

We work to keep Jntos running reliably but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. There is no entitlement to a suitable group being found or a session taking place.

9. Liability

  1. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee we have given.
  2. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation, we are liable only for the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Material obligations are those whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely.
  3. Otherwise, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
  4. These rules also apply to the personal liability of our legal representatives, employees and vicarious agents.
  5. We are not responsible for the conduct of other members unless we ourselves are in breach of duty under paragraph 1 or 2.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Jntos and delete your account at any time. In the event of serious or repeated violations of these terms, in particular the rules in section 5, we may suspend or close an account. We take your legitimate interests into account and inform you unless there is a reason not to.

11. Changes

We may change these terms with effect for the future where there is a valid reason, such as new features or changes in the law. We will inform you of material changes in good time beforehand. Changes affecting the balance between service and consideration apply only with your consent.

12. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the country of your habitual residence remains unaffected.
